Job Summary:
You will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of capital wastewater treatment projects, ranging from asset upgrades to complex MEICA installations, working under AMP frameworks for major UK water utilities. The role requires hands‑on project leadership across design, construction, and commissioning, with accountability for safety, programme, cost, and stakeholder outcomes.
Typical Projects You May Manage:
- Wastewater treatment site upgrades and capacity improvements.
- Upgrading or replacing existing assets across all areas of process, including:
- Biological Treatment
- Aeration
- Filtration
- Settlement
- Flow measurement
- Pumping Stations
- Screening
- Chemical dosing and mixing
- Storm Storage
- Spill/pollution/flood mitigation
- Associated PLC/SCADA system integration works including hardware and software replacements and upgrades
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
- Manage multiple projects, with individual values typically ranging between circa £25k to multi-million pounds, across the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, working within NEC3/4 construction contracts where applicable.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact between the clients, contractors, consultants, and regulators.
- Lead client progress meetings, reporting on programme, cost, risk, and change
- Manage communication with all relevant stakeholders to ensure suitability and operability of delivered solutions to meet client expectations.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide coordination and assurance across Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, and Civils disciplines.
- Review and approve key deliverables including GA drawings, P&IDs, control philosophies, process designs, and PLC/SCADA documentation.
Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ):
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001.
- Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Commercial & Financial Management:
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
- Submit and manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events as appropriate.
- Review and approve variations and change control
Construction & Commissioning:
- Coordinate site activities through construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Preparation of documentation packs including RAMS, Programmes, construction phase plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage handover, including O&M's, asset data and all documentation required to achieve client acceptance.
- Resolve site challenges and technical issues during construction.

We are seeking a technical professional within the wastewater industry who has a proven track record in combining their technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of our wastewater products and solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales Administrator to provide technical support when preparing quotations and dealing with customer enquiries.
Responsibilities:
Technical Presentations:
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products or services to customers either face-to-face or virtually.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to the sales administrator to ensure solutions are technically accurate, achievable, and costed correctly.
Key Account Management:
- Point of contact for service contract customers (Mainly Clarion Housing). Responsible for collation of reports, KPI info and dealing with technical enquiries and customer issues. Coordinate responses to customers, bringing information together from the operational staff, planning department, and sales team to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Customer Support:
- Work with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and ensure the products meet system requirements.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer demands and provide necessary support.
Product Development:
- Consult on product development and recommend new and improved products to customers.
Problem Solving:
- Help customers solve problems with product usage and ensure customer satisfaction.
Negotiation:
- Assist the Sales Team with negotiating contract terms to secure orders, ensuring product standards and delivery.
Customer Service and Marketing:
- Assisting the Marketing Manager with sourcing material for social media posts (approx. 3–4 per month). Sending feedback forms to customers after visits and following up on negative responses. Sending monthly summary reports to the Bids and Proposals Manager with feedback data.
Enquiry Management:
- Monitoring the ATAC-Sales bucket account and directing emails, as well as gathering initial information for quotes.
CSM (Service & Maintenance Agreements):
- Updating and ensuring all information is correct and accurate. Sending new service and maintenance agreements.

We are seeking a multi-skilled Engineer with either an electrical engineering background with mechanical understanding, or a mechanical engineering background with basic electrical knowledge. The successful candidate will work within our Engineering Team on installation projects, commissioning, electrical and mechanical fault finding, and emergency breakdown repairs. The role is varied and predominantly based across the South East (Kent, London, Essex, Sussex, Hampshire).
Candidates with an electrical bias must hold a recognised electrical qualification and 18th Edition. SSSTS is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
- Lead or support installation works on wastewater treatment and pumping assets, covering both electrical and mechanical elements.
- Commission new systems, including pumps, blowers, control panels, instrumentation, and treatment equipment.
- Perform functional testing, verify correct operation, and ensure compliance with ATAC standards and UK regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or mechanical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems across wastewater treatment sites.
- Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical support to field engineers and clients, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Assist with optimisation of treatment processes and equipment performance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow ATAC Solutions’ and client safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure all work complies with BS7671 (for electrical tasks), relevant mechanical standards, and environmental regulations.
- Complete site inductions, toolbox talks, RAMS, and safe systems of work documentation.
- Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas.
Reporting & Documentation
- Produce accurate job records, including service reports, commissioning logs, measurements, and photographic evidence.
- Communicate clearly with project managers, supervisors, and clients regarding progress, issues, and recommendations.

We are seeking a Project Engineer specialising in Pile Cloth Filter (PCF) servicing to join our Operations Department. Working closely with the Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee the planning, delivery, and optimisation of PCF service contracts for multiple water companies across the South and Midlands. The ideal candidate will be proactive, technically competent, and capable of managing routine servicing, maintenance, and reactive support for a fleet of pile cloth filtration assets, ensuring reliability, compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Service Contract Management
- Oversee and coordinate all service activities related to pile cloth filter systems, including routine servicing, inspections, refurbishment works, and reactive maintenance.
- Ensure service schedules are aligned with contract requirements and operational priorities.
Coordination & Planning
- Work closely with the planning team to organise site visits, allocate resources, and manage workloads for PCF service technicians.
- Support the Senior Project Engineer in developing service strategies and improving operational efficiency.
Technical Oversight
- Act as a primary technical point of contact for PCF-related enquiries from clients and internal teams.
- Provide technical guidance on PCF performance, optimisation, troubleshooting, and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in root-cause analysis for PCF failures or performance issues.
Problem-Solving & Support
